Just some fun odds and ends…

Took this photo of an OLD printing shop setup to show how letterpress drawers were used – just in case you wondered where this creative project’s main piece came from…. I had to explain what it was to a few friends who thought I was odd for adding lots of tiny photos to a tray…
And this horribly grainy image of a mouse on the hood of our car we discovered while driving down the road at 50 mph last night. We went to the store then for a quick drive by the lake. Midway down the road, my husband is frantically pushing the button to roll up his window and tells me there is a mouse on the front of the car running around…it was a little creepy – I made him pull over under a street light to try to get a photo.
As I turned the camera app on, the front of the phone lit up my face and the mouse looked right over at me. He quickly saw that the light attracting his attention revealed a human in the car and he froze for a split second, staring at me eye to eye, sizing me up – then decided to run for it. So with shutter lag on the iphone all I got was his end quarters…definitely an experience that I don’t hope to have twice in my life! lol.
Isn’t life fun and interesting? So many different twists and turns…what a fun ride!

I love those old letter press setups. We had one of those in a newspaper I worked at. Cool to see. I also hate being surprised by varmints. A couple of weeks ago I was in the shower and reached for my washcloth that I hang on a hook. As I pulled it to my face, a large spider came crawling out of it. I screamed like I was being murdered. Scared me to death.
